COVID-19

How Maid in Katy is Responding to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Although Harris and Fort Bend counties have been issued a stay at home order and many businesses have been forced to close, Maid Services have been considered essential services in the counties that we serve. Since we are in the business of sanitizing and cleaning to help combat COVID-19 we are proud to continue serving those who need us.

At Maid In Katy the health and safety of our clients and employees is and always has been our top priority. With the threat and unknown impact of Coronavirus, we have implemented extra protocols for our employees to follow at this time. We know you need us now more than ever to keep your home clean and we take that seriously.

Here is what we are doing.

Your Home

The following procedures are in place for the safety of your home.

  • Hand washing: Each employee will be required to wash their hands at the beginning and end of each visit.
  • Gloves: employees will wear a fresh pair of gloves while cleaning your home.
  • Sanitize: we always sanitize your home when cleaning, however, the following areas are being emphasized even more during this time: Doorknobs, light switches, cabinet pulls, stairwell railing, refrigerator handles, oven/stove knobs and handles, towel racks, faucet handles, small appliances, sink brushes and tools and sink sprayer.
  • Employees always have and will continue to sanitize our vacuums and all cleaning products between homes.
  • Employees are being asked to observe the 6 foot social distancing rule recommended by the CDC.

Our Staff

  • Staff members exhibiting any illness have been asked to stay home and take the time to heal. We require all illness-based absences to be under the care of a physician.
  • Staff members exposed to any illness of concern will be asked to work with a physician and stay home until a sufficient quarantine has been completed.

Our Clients

  • For the safety of our employees, we ask that if anyone in your home is ill that you call our office immediately to reschedule your appointment. Late cancellation fees are being waived at this time due to illness, especially those that involve fever or shortness of breath.
